YWN regrets to inform you of the Petira of Rebbitzen Miriam Solomon A”H, the wife of the Lakewood Mashgiach, Hagaon HaRav Mattisyahu Solomon Shlita. She was Niftar just before 10:00AM ET on Monday morning. She was approximately 75-years-old. The Mashgiach and close family members had been at her bedside since Motzei Shabbos as her condition took a drastic turn for the worse. A Levaya will take place in Lakewood later Monday and Kevura will be in Eretz Yisroel. Details will be published when they become available. It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the passing of Rebbetzin Miriam Salomon a”h, wife of the mashgiach of Beth Medrash Govoah, Rav Matisyahu Salomon. She was 76 years old. The Rebbetzin had been in critical condition and tefillos were being recited on her behalf across the Torah world. She passed away this morning. Click Here! The Rebbetzin, well-known for her special nature and the simcha and kindness with which she greeted the hundreds of people who visited her home each week, inspired numerous women throughout the community and beyond. She served as a pillar of strength to her husband, who was the mashgiach of Gateshead Yeshiva, a position he held for more than thirty years, before the mashgiach and his Rebbetzin moved to Lakewood in 1997. The Rebbetzin is survived by her husband, Rav Salomon, and their family of marbitzei Torah and noted talmidei chachomim and bnos chayil following in her ways. The levaya will be held today at the Bendheim Bais Medrash of Beth Medrash Govoah, located at 617 Sixth Street in Lakewood, NJ.
