The OU issued a statement today that due to Covid-19, some companies are facing challenges maintaining standards for OU certification. As a result, the OU may be temporarily removed from the packaging.
The OU says we need to make sure the OU is on the label of the product we have, we cannot rely on our experience that a particular product has been Kosher in the past, and this is particularly true when ordering items online. When we receive the product we have to check the label of the product received, to verify that it actually has the kosher certification on it.
