The Shabbos Shabbos Tish and B'dibur Echad:
Experience the Joy and Meaning of Shabbos With Shabbos
Dear Chaver,

In honor of the momentous upcoming Siyum on Maseches Shabbos, we invite you to join us in celebrating Shabbos Shabbos!

A few short months ago we reveled in the massive Siyum, our collective heart thumping at the glorious display of Kavod Hatorah.

It feels like eons ago. But the momentum of The Siyum continues to reverberate in homes, shuls, and communities worldwide.

And now, by using the meaning of Shabbos as a way of celebrating Shabbos, we'll make both the day - and the Sugya - come alive!

Join the Siyum on Masechta Shabbos live on Motzaei Shabbos Parshas Eikev, August 8, at 10:30 PM EDT, where we'll discover the deeper meaning of the Zemiros, Tefillos and Hanhagos of Shabbos.

We will also be launching a fascinating B'Dibbur Echad video series, featuring insights into many facets of Shabbos, delivered by renowned speakers!

We'll be covering questions like:

·    "Why do we say these six chapters of Tehillim in Lechu Neranena?"
·    "Why doesn't Mizmor Shir L'yom Hashabbos talk about Shabbos?"
·    "Why is each Shemoneh Esrei on Shabbos different?"
·    "Why is Moshe Rabbeinu mentioned in Shemoneh Esrei of Shabbos day?"

Noted presenters and Rabbanim will include R' Pinchos Friedman, R' Yitzchok Sorotzkin, R' Eli Mansour, and R' Paysach Krohn, and with lively musical enhancement by R' Shloime Taussig and R' Yisroel Werdyger.

We invite you to participate and show this in your bungalow colony, camp, or shul.

If you'd like assistance in setting up a virtual viewing party via Zoom or video conference, please email siyum@kiheimchayeinu.com.

Or - watch on Motzaei Shabbos live from the comfort of your home.

And be sure to sign up for the video series to follow!

Improve every future Shabbos with the inspiration and practical information from this life-changing series.

Complete the 2020 Census and Get a Chance to Win $2500
2020 is the year of the census.

Every ten years the United States Government is tasked with counting every single U.S citizen. While this may seem like needless red tape, the census is actually a crucial event that can greatly impact our community's growth and prosperity. Over the next ten years, the Federal Government will determine its aid packages directly based on the results of the census. Many of the programs that people rely on - Medicaid, SNAP (food stamps), Pell Grants and more - are distributed to communities in accordance with their size, as recorded in census data.

Agudath Israel of America encourages every household to participate and cooperate with the United States Census Bureau. Filling out the census only takes a few minutes and those moments can direct millions of dollars in Federal Aid, over the next ten years, to your community.

Another critical point where the census impacts our community is in political representation. The number of representatives our community has in the state and federal governments is based on census data. When people don't fill out the census, the result is that the community has less political representation for their needs.

This month, Agudath Israel of America, in conjunction with the Boro Park JCC, is proud to present an additional incentive for census participation. Each household that completes the census will be entered into a raffle to win $2,500. Simply send a screenshot that you completed the census to census@agudah.org and your family will be included in the pot.

If you have already completed the census - no worries! Just complete the form on www.Agudah.org/census and you will be included as well.

The census can be completed at my2020census.gov or by calling 212.797.9000, extension 218.
