- Agudas Yisroel of Peterson Park in Chicago is continuing its series of shiurim by Rabbi Shmuel Fuerst on halacha l'maaseh on sugyos from Daf Yomi. Tonight's shiur will be on End of Life Issues: what qualifies as goses today, removing someone from a respirator, brain death in Halacha, refusing DNR, accepting or ending the use of pain medicine, etc. and will be held at 8:30 pm CDT (9:30 pm EDT). (PLEASE NOTE THE NEW TIME.) The call in number is (518) 425-1725.
- The Daf Yomi Commission and Ki Heim Chayeinu wish a big mazel tov to those who are being mesayeim Meseches Shabbos today!
- Tomorrow evening, the Daf Yomi Commission will be having a siyum celebration on Meseches Shabbos. The siyum will be held in Camp Agudah and it will be livestreamed for all who would like to participate. Rabbi Shalom Kamenetsky will be the guest speaker. See below for more information.
- This past Motzei Shabbos, Ki Heim Chayeinu held the Shabbos Shabbos Tisch to celebrate the completion of Meseches Shabbos. You can watch a recording of the speeches and sign up for future videos here.
| | Siyum Celebration on Meseches Shabbos | | Mesaches Shabbos is coming to a close and despite the unprecedented events taking place around the world, Daf Yomi learners continue to display unparalleled dedication to the Daf. To honor the dedication displayed by these Daf Yomi learners, Agudath Israel of America's Daf Yomi Commission is proud to present a exciting program lichvod the celebration of Siyum Maseches Shabbos.
Hosted by Camp Agudah's Masmidim Program, the siyum will be"H take place on Tuesday August 11th at 9:00 PM EDT on Camp Agudah's campus. The program will be livestreamed for all who wish to participate and Rabbi Sholom Kamenetsky, Rosh Yeshiva of Philadelphia Yeshiva, will be the featured guest speaker.
While the current world events may be troubling, on Tuesday, August 11th, we all join together to celebrate and applaud the efforts put in place by all those who continue to be kovei'a itim l'Torah.
