Wear a Mask. Save a Life. | | | | Dear Neighbor, Unfortunately, COVID-19 is on the rise in the City of Chicago and in our neighborhood. The only way we are going to turn the trend and reduce our numbers is by taking this seriously. Please, wear a mask and save a life! Public health officials are in agreement that the best ways to stop the spread of COVID-19 are to practice proper social distancing, wash your hands frequently, and always wear a face covering in public spaces. The law in Illinois is clear: Everyone over the age of 2 who can medically tolerate a face covering, MUST wear one whenever they are unable to maintain a safe distance from others. This applies in all public places, both indoors and outside. If you go to the store—wear a mask. If you pick up food—wear a mask. Even if you go for a walk outside, if you will be in close proximity to your neighbors—wear a mask! I have reusable face masks available for anyone who needs them. If you need a mask, please contact me to arrange for pickup. Another option is to make your own masks. It is easy to do, and no sewing is required. Ignoring the rules puts us all at risk and endangers our neighbors, friends and family—particularly seniors and those with underlying conditions. Please, for the sake of our community, wear a mask!
