We are now in the midst of the time of sefiras haomer. A time of striving to improve our middos. Hashem took the Jewish people out of Mitzraim even though they were on the 49th level of tumah. Over the next 49 days they raised themselves to a level worthy of receiving the Torah. We all stumble in our avodas Hashem but the secret of the Jew is that no matter how many times he falls, he continues to get up and trys again. We never lose faith in ourselves. Hashem believes in us and our ability to grow, and we can't lert him down. As it says in Pirkei Avos, 2:21, we are not required to complete the task but we not free to withdraw from it. One day, soon, we will see the fruits of our labor.
