Shabbat, June 4 – ה' סיון
Tehillim 100
In the days of the Beit HaMikdash, there was an offering called the Korban Todah, the Thanksgiving Offering. It was brought if someone went through a dangerous situation and survived.
There are four general categories of one that would be obligated to bring this offering: 1) one that traveled through the sea, 2) one that traveled through the desert (i.e, a long distance travel by car or plane), 3) one who recovered from a serious illness (where they were bedridden or fell unconscious), 4) one who was released from incarceration.
There are many laws that govern what entails a dangerous situation, but this was cause to offer thanks to Hashem.
At the present time, not having the Korban Todah, one would instead say the blessing of "HaGomel L'Chayavim Tovot SheGemalani Kol Tuv".
Another example of a person saying the blessing of "HaGomel" is a woman after child birth.
This psalm is Moshe Rabbeinu's last contribution to the book of Tehillim. He composed this psalm with the tribe of Asher in mind (Ibn Yachya). Asher is certainly a tribe that understands the importance of saying thank you to Hashem because they were blessed by Moshe Rabbeinu with many good things such as children and oil.

Sunday, June 5 – ו' סיון
Tehillim 101
Many times the perek starts "מזמור לדוד", but here "לדוד" is first. This indicates that it wasn't the "מזמור", "the song", that inspired David on this occasion, but rather he was inherently inspired, perhaps through meditation, and this caused him to break out in this particular praise of Hashem.
This means that David didn't need times to be rolling high for him to praise Hashem, but rather whatever card Hashem would deal him, "חסד" or "משפט" (loving kindness or strict judgement), there was always reason for him to sing out to Hashem. This is because David so deeply understood that all that Hashem does is for our ultimate good.

Monday, June 6 – ז' סיון
Tehillim 102
In this perek, David HaMelech portrays himself as a poor man pouring out his supplications before Hashem (v.1).
Indeed, the Talmud teaches us that when one comes to Hashem to ask for something, one should not ask because he deserves it. (This is a lesson that Moshe Rabbeinu also taught us with the word, "ואתחנן".) This may cause a careful scrutinizing of ones account to see if he really deserves it. But rather a person must ask for a present from Hashem, like a poor person that has no money to pay for his needs.
David is praying as an individual for his personal issues, but he also is the King of Israel and therefore carries the responsibility of the nation on his shoulders.
We, too, must pray for ourselves. But we must also look at our brothers, to see what their needs are and cry out to Hashem on their behalf.
May Hashem always hear our prayers (v.2) and may our prayers be answered speedily (v.3).

Tuesday, June 7 – ח' סיון
Tehillim 103
The Neshama is the most precious gift that Hashem has given man.
In this psalm and the next one, David HaMelech tells his Neshama to praise Hashem five times "בָּרְכִי נַפְשִׁי אֶת הֹ'".
The Talmud in Masechet Berachot 10a says that it is fitting that the Neshama extols the praises of Hashem because the soul is a portion of Hashem and they both share the following five qualities:
Just as Hashem fills the entire world, so too, the Neshama fills the entire body.
Just as Hashem sees but is not seen, so too, the Neshama sees but is not seen.
Just as Hashem gives sustenance to the whole world, so too, the Neshama sustains the body.
Just as Hashem is pure, so too, the Neshama is pure.
Just as Hashem resides in the inner most chamber, so too, the Neshama resides in the inner most chamber.
We also know that there are five parts to the Neshama, therefore may the one that has these five aspects come and praise the One that has these five attributes.
