| | YahalomNJ Mothers' Night Out | | Yesterday, YahalomNJ held a night out for mothers of children with special needs, at Kava café in Howell. The mothers were treated to a magnificent dairy buffet, and Yahalom swag to bring home. Dr. Marilyn Gordon, UnitedHealthcare Community Plan Chief Medical Officer, gave an informative workshop and Q&A session. Mrs. Victoria Dwek gave a presentation on quick and easy menu planning. Rabbi Avi Schnall, director of Agudah's New Jersey office also addressed the mothers. The night ended with a beautiful Chinese auction with prizes for mothers and children.
YahalomNJ, a division of Agudah's New Jersey office, is a resource center for parents of children with special needs. It is designed to help those parents obtain the appropriate resources by guiding, educating, and empowering parents to ensure they have the help and support they need. Yahalom is headed by Mrs. Chana Laniado, who has over a decade's experience working with the special needs community.
