Brief Discourses by Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi
Dear Kehot Friend,
Tuesday is the 24th of Tevet which marks the anniversary of the passing of Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi, founder of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement, in the winter of 1812.
Maamarim Haktzarim is a unique volume of discourses, containing early discourses by Rabbi Schneur Zalman. Unlike the discourses delivered in later years, these were of a brief, pithy style, intellectually stimulating and emotionally stirring, enflaming the hearts of his Chasidim to attain great spiritual heights.
These discourses were selected by a team of scholars at Kehot, with direction and guidance by the Rebbe.
