Agudah of Illinois Galei Israel Dedication Event; continued...
Several community representatives and AI board members were joined by the Rothner family for a small reception followed by a ribbon cutting and kvius mezuzah. Also in attendance were Illinois State Representative Bob Morgan, Highland Park Councilmember Annette Lidawer, and Officer White representing the Highland Park Police Department.
Rabbi Ari Strulowitz, Director of Operations at AI, thanked the Rothner family for their vision and generosity. "Caring for the youth of our community has been at the heart of Agudah's mission and operations since its inception and the synergy of support and our mission here today is amazing," he said. His remarks were followed by a brief acknowledgement from Mrs. Katie Silvers on behalf of the Rothner family.
Rabbi Strulowitz also thanked three AI staff members for their incredible effort to get the facility up and running in such a short period of time: Mrs. Ruchami Cynamon, Mrs. Bina Levin and Mr. Tzvi Yaakov Pike. Agudah also recently hired Mrs. Chaya Baila Kantrowitz as a facility director to oversee all staffing, policies and operations. This week we are scheduled to have over 10 groups using the facility, with several groups planning to use the facility throughout the summer. |
