Zoom Shiur to fulfill the Rebbe's request On Motzei Tisha B'av 5744, the Rebbe wrote in a letter, "I feel a responsibility as well as a privilege to suggest and request, etc, that all should learn together from his teachings, and contribute [tzedoka] on this day in his memory…" We as Chassidim, have the privilege that the Rebbe asked us to 'assist him' in the great Mitzva of honoring one's father by studying these teachings and learning from his life specifically on his Yahrtzeit.
In honor of Chof Av, the 79th Yahrtzeit-Hilulah of Horav Levi Yitzchok, the Rebbe's father, join with fellow Chassidim from all over to learn from his life of self-sacrifice and fulfill the Rebbe's wish to mark the day of Chof Av by learning his Torah.
The Shiur and Farbrengen will be hosted by Rabbi Mendel Kaplan and will be based on pieces of Horav Levi Yitzchok's Torah featured in the Kovetz Limud released by the Keren Levi Yitzchok Fund. The Kovetz can be viewed and downloaded at OrVechom.com/Kovetz20Av.
The ZOOM program will begin at 8:00 pm EDT and can be joined at OrVechom.com/Zoom. The program will also be streamed live on YouTube at OrVechom.com/Live.
