I want to share a miracle TEHILLIM story that I heard first-hand. Directly from the soldier himself.
It should give us strength to keep praying!!
Yesterday, my friend and I delivered 60 pairs of tzitzit to this soldier, which he would then bring to the army base. (How unreal that thousands of secular soldiers are begging for tzitzit right now - spiritual armor - before they go into battle!!).
He told us then that he should not be alive right now.
His unit was involved in a dangerous mission the night before, and drove over an IED. The explosion was huge, but Baruch Hashem there were no casualties. A big piece of metal flew towards his chest. He shouldn't have made it.
Except…a rabbi had visited these soldiers a week before and given every one of them a pocket Tehillim. The soldier kept that Tehillim in his front, left, breast-pocket.
He told us again, emphatically, "I shouldn't be alive except that the metal STOPPED at the front cover of that Tehillim. It pierced into the Taf of the cover, and fully stopped."
The entire Tehillim is singed and burned, but the soldier is alive to share the story.
This is a real soldier. His actual story. It sounds cliche, but how can it be when it is happening?? As I heard the story, I did a double take: have I heard this before? Read it in a book? But no, this was his personal story that happened only the night before.
Don't underestimate the power of your prayers. Imagine the hundreds and thousands of prakim of tehillim being said every day, acting as a forcefield around our soldiers. Hashem is with us. Hashem will help us. We just need to turn to Him, and He will answer.
