Psalms for Israel
Dear Friend,
It is a time of trouble for Jacob, but he will be delivered from it.1
In times of trouble, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, of righteous memory, would call upon all Jews to increase in their Torah study, prayer and acts of charity.2
The book of Psalms is the place Jews have turned to to pour out their hearts in prayer. The third Rebbe of Lubavitch, Rabbi Menachem Mendel, known as the Tzemach Tzedek, said: "...if we only knew the power of verses of Psalms and their effect in the spiritual realms, we would recite them constantly."3

May our Merciful Father, Whose Eyes are always upon the land,5 Who hears our prayers and listens to our cries, accept our prayers and the prayers of all Israel. May we dwell securely in our land,6 and our children shall return to their borders.7
