TIMELY POINTS ON OUR ONGOING TEHILLIM TEFILLOS
1. Please listen to the following three-minute essential Shiur on reciting Tehillim in a time of war given by Rav Ilan Meirov, Shlita:
2. Before reciting Tehillim, to demonstrate how important it is to you and that you mean to recite it sincerely, we suggest reciting the pasuk "Karov Hashem l'chol kor'av l'chol asher yikra'uhu ve'emes," and the pasuk "Kaveh el Hashem chazk v'ya'ametz libecha v'kaveh el Hashem," and then begin reciting Tehillim.
3. If possible, recite Tehillim from a Sefer, and not by heart, and try following along word-by-word with your finger.
4. A Rav urged us to present the following points:
A. Rather than say Tehillim by the number of kepitelech--for example, ten kepitelech, instead say Tehillim for a given amount of time.
B. Included in the amount of time you will spend, study what the kepitel is saying by looking at the meforshim or a meaningful translation.
