My Dear Friends,

There are moments in time when history invites you to participate in its unfolding. Tuesday's "March for Israel" rally in Washington marked one such moment.

With over 300,000 participants, our collective presence mirrored the number of reservists called up in Israel, symbolically underscoring the vital role we each play in standing for Am Yisrael and Medinat Yisrael

Our Yeshiva University community was a driving force in the rally's great success. With the largest number of students present at the rally, the rally organizers have expressed their thanks for our presence and for leading the charge, crediting our immediate canceling of all of our undergraduate and high school classes as the inspiration which paved the way for others to follow.

Our efforts for the rally were an expression of our core Torah values. Over 40 buses filled with more than 2,500 students. Our Roshei Yeshiva accompanied our students and delivered shiurim for the students on the buses. Our undergraduates wore our blue and white sweatshirts proudly. Deans of our graduate schools were there, along with graduate students and alumni. Our incredible professional team devoted countless hours to making the day run smoothly and creating an educational and meaningful experience for our students.

Standing shoulder to shoulder with Jews, allies, and partners from across the country, I found deep inspiration in the resounding unity that was felt. I was moved by the speakers, including our Stern college graduate, Mijal Bitton, and honored that the rally organizers highlighted our coalition initiative, showcasing the unity of over 100 college presidents standing together against terrorism.

And what filled me with great encouragement for our future was to experience the continued leadership of our students. In the face of this challenge that is defining our times, our students have emerged as beacons of hope and resilience. As we confront the uncertainties of the Jewish future in the wider world, their voices resound with confidence, reflecting the dignity and strength needed to carry our mission into the world.

This pivotal moment in history has highlighted the challenges of being Jewish in the modern world, yet it is also a moment of great promise.

Together we stand. Together we will rise. Together we will build a better world for all.

Warm regards,

President Signature
