We are launching a new initiative! Israel is at war. the pain reverberations are felt in every corner, and in every home. But it is the impoverished, those already teetering on the edge of survival, who bear the heaviest burden. Their plight is only deepened by the chaos of war. Our dedicated social workers reached out to these families under our care, one by one. The responses they received are a mosaic of human need and resilience, a testament to the enduring spirit even in the darkest hours. We have compiled a list of the specific requests we received. You can learn more about this program below.

Our social workers reached out to the affected families to find out how we can best help them. Each family that needs something submitted a specific request. We're giving our supporters the opportunity to fill a request directly.

Igeret Hakodesh Perek 30

Watch the video of chapter 30

We want to share a video of Rabbi Shais Taub teaching the 30th perek of the Alter Rebbe's Igeret Hokodesh with you. In this video, Rabbi Taub discusses a fundraising letter written by the Alter Rebbe to the Jewish community in Europe. The Alter Rebbe was fundraising for the poor Jews in Israel (this was the very beginning of Colel Chabad). In the letter, he says that there is a mitzvah to give charity to all poor people but there is an imperative to give to people who had a particularly difficult year.

The people in Israel are going through a very hard time. Thank you to those who have already donated to Colel Chabad. We encourage everyone to have a piece of this special mitzvah and donate so we can help our Israeli brothers through this challenging time.

Special brunch for widows

They enjoyed the food and more

We treated the widows of Chesed Menachem Mendel to a morning of pampering and comfort. These resilient women enjoyed a lavish brunch, a ceramic workshop, and meaningful conversation. In these difficult times, we need to make sure to recharge our batteries and find comfort wherever possible.
