Dear Friend,
You are part of a growing community of women joining together monthly on Rosh Chodesh for inspiration and connection. Chanukah has the unique distinction of "hosting" Rosh Chodesh as part of the Chag. While the moon hides its light from us as the month closes and then begins to reveal its light again, we as a people introduce our light to the world. We have an opportunity, no matter how dark our natural world is, to bring joy to the world with our decisions and choices. Enjoy the double joy of natural light and human illumination!
Please join the OU Women's Initiative at ouwomen.org/rc on Wednesday, December 13 at 12 noon EST for our virtual Rosh Chodesh Teves shiur with Rabbanit Fran Miller.
Rabbanit Fran Miller is a graduate of the Keren Ariel Yoatzot Halacha program at Nishmat, and studied in the advanced Talmud programs in Matan and Migdal Oz. She holds a B.A. in Judaic Studies from Stern College and B.Ed. from Yeshivat Har Etzion's Michlelet Herzog Teacher's College. She teaches at post-high school seminaries, an Israeli elementary school, and WebYeshiva. Fran lives in Mitzpeh Yericho with her husband and four children.
Chodesh Tov,
