Dear Alumni and Friends,

As we near the end of Adar, we reflect on the last month at HTC. Thank you to all those who participated in our Shalach Manos project in support of Israeli products and businesses. Your support not only brought simcha to the community, but also to our brothers and sisters in Eretz Yisrael and Am Yisrael. We're incredibly proud of our students who helped to fundraise for organizations in Israel and locally in Chicago.

This month we officially launched "The Yeshiva Network!" We're thrilled to see many of you already engaging, reconnecting, and exploring professional opportunities on this exclusive platform designed for our alumni. If you haven't yet, we invite you to join and start networking today.

Please keep an eye out for our upcoming Roth & Co 3-on-3 HTC Alumni Tournament and Family Fun Day on Sunday, May 5th and our HTC101 CauseMatch!

We look forward to connecting with you,

Rabbi Josh Zisook

Director of Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement

This was known as terumas hadeshen. The Kohanim all competed to receive a chance to perform this holy avodah (see Mishnah Yoma 2:1). When we analyze the verses and Rashi's commentary of what the terumas hadeshen entailed, it appears that this task was a mere "clean-up" duty to begin the current day's sacrificial proceedings. The chosen...

Shemini - Matzah vs. Chametz

By Rabbi Tomer Zino

Here, the Torah adds some more details about the meal (Mincha) offering. The Torah tells us that the grain offering must be eaten by the Kohanim in matzah form and not as chametz.
