SHAVUOT

When we were in Egypt, we sank into the forty-nine gates of impurity. Upon our exodus, we needed to count forty-nine days to exit the gates of impurity and enter the forty-nine gates of holiness.

It is known from the Arizal the secret of the mikvah immersion on Shavuot before dawn. The Arizal refers to this as the mikvah of the Fiftieth Gate. Reb Noson writes that this immersion has the power to extract us from the fifty gates of impurity and give us a glimpse of the Fiftieth Gate of holiness, which is the Redemption! Through this, we can rise from all the spiritual falls we have experienced, repent completely, and receive the Torah anew (Likutey Halakhot, Laws of Kriat Shema, 5).

(It is highly recommended to read the prayer based on Lesson 56, attached above.)

May it be Hashem's will that we merit the fifty gates of holiness and be saved from falls and impurity.
NASO

"Thus shall you bless the Children of Israel... " (Numbers 6:23).

It is known that fear can kill; fear paralyzes people when it is directed towards physical things—missiles, alarms, scratches, snakes, etc. However, when one fears Hashem, this fear gives us more strength and true inner power. Moreover, from true awe comes great wealth, as Rebbe Nachman writes in Likutey Moharan lesson 60.

Therefore, the order of the Priestly Blessing mainly pertains to wealth, as our Sages say: "May Hashem bless you"—with wealth, "and guard you"—from harmful things, etc.

By nature, all harmful things come from misplaced fear, physical fear. When one merits holy fear, the misplaced fear is also elevated, and then the harmful things fall away. When they fall away, blessing can dwell in a person's deeds.

May it be Hashem's will that we merit fearing only Him and nothing else in the world. Amen.

Chag Sameach and Shabbat Shalom!

Chaim Kramer
