We are going through a difficult period. Not only the north, but the whole country is in danger. Even religious population centres are at risk. We have to hope for the best and expect the worst. It is not an easy situation, and it is not going to become easier. Therefore, the only preparations we can make is to become closer to Hashem. Every second that we stand before Hashem is important. Therefore, now is the time to keep mitzvos, to grab another minute and another minute. It is a matter of days, not weeks. The future of the Jewish population in Eretz Yisroel, in Yerushalayim, is being decided at the moment. We are not allowed to talk with our mouths about what our enemies would like to do to us (al tiftach pe) if they only could. They are no longer embarrassed or afraid of anything, of killing a young child. There has never been a time like this. For them it is a religious commandment to wipe out the Jewish people. They have no mercy on anybody. Hashem should help us, but we have to grab more mitzvos and good deeds. Politicians rely on the might of their own hands, but it is the Almighty who provides the power and ability. It is only up to Hashem, and we can rely only on Him. With mitzvos and good deeds Gan Eden is open for us. On the other hand, Hashem metes out punishments sometimes after a minute and sometimes several years later. Everything is written down. May Hashem have mercy on us. Everybody should get up on time, pray a lot and with concentration. May we merit the coming of Moshiach and the period following his coming quickly.
