YWN regrets to inform you of the Petira of HaRav Sholom Dovber Lifschitz ZATZAL, the founder and head of Yad L’Achim. Earlier Thursday YWN had posted an urgent Tehillim request for Rav Lifschitz, whose condition was reported as critical. The Rav, 84, had been hospitalized about a week ago in Tel Aviv’s Tel Hashomer Hospital with a severe case of pneumonia, and his condition took a drastic turn for the worse earlier today. His condition continued to deteriorate, until his Petira on Thursday night.
