BAIS HAVAAD ON THE PARSHAS 5772 PARSHAS VAYEITZEI Fundamentals of Shomrim

WE HAVE GOT PRINT OUT AUDIO AND OU AND BAIS HAVAAD VIDEO In this week's parsha the Torah tells us how diligently Yaakov Avinu guarded Lavan's flock. In fact, the Torah relates that Yaakov Avinu commented to Lavan "This is how I was, in the day drought consumed me, and the frost by night, and the sleep fled from my eyes." (Bereshit 31:40) Interestingly, the Rosh (Bava Kama 6:5) notes that the Sheiltos derives from this verse that a shomer sachar is even obligated to pay for thefts and losses that occur due to circumstances beyond his control just like Yaakov Avinu guarded Lavan's flock in even extreme conditions.
