YWN [chicago-aneinu] TEHILLIM – Child Critical After ‘Sand Tunnel’ Collapses On Deal Beach

8:30PM Tuesday: Please be Mispallel for Ezra Raphael ben Carmella, a 12-year-old child who is listed in critical condition at a New Jersey hospital, Tuesday afternoon. Sources tell YWN that the child was playing in the sand on Long Branch Beach (Deal NJ), and was buried a few feet underground. According to police, the boy is in intensive care after the sand tunnel he had dug collapsed on him at the beach between Madison and Cooper avenues around 3:20PM. Police said the boy dug the tunnel with his younger brother. Lifeguards responded, who found him in Cardiac Arrest. Lifeguards performed CPR on him, and was transported to Monmouth Medical Center here, Tergola added. The name “Raphael” has since been added to his name. (Dov Gordon – YWN)
