[Aneinu] Please be alert!

To: frontdesk Subject: Community Alert] Community Alert Community Alert I am writing to let you know that last evening, a man tried to kidnap a 16-year-old girl walking home from school. The teen was walking at 3:15 p.m. in the 5900 block of West Bryn Mawr Avenue when a man got out of a newer model black pickup and tried to hug her, police said. When the girl broke free, the man pulled the teen's shoulder but she was able to break away and run away, police said. The man drove away southbound on Milwaukee Avenue, police said. The man was described as between 35 and 45 years old, between 5-foot-7-inches tall and 5-foot-10-inches tall. He has a large bump on the bridge of his nose, was unshaven and had acne along his jawline, police said. The man wore a green jacket, brown knit cap and blue jeans. He spoke in European-accented English, police said. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call detectives at 312-744-8261. I encourage all of our parents to talk with their children about following standard safety techniques. Some of these are listed on the following Chicago Police Website: http://4abpn833c0nr1zvwp7447f2b.wpengine.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/CAPS_Child_Safety.pdf Mark Grishaber Principal, Head of School William Howard Taft High School An IB World School 6530 W.
