Community Safety Meeting to Discuss Rogers Park Shootings Thursday, October 4 - 7:30 PM Community Safety Meeting Thursday, October 4 - 7:30 PM Bernard Horwich JCC - 3003 W. Touhy Dear Neighbor, As I announced yesterday, please join me and the leadership of the Chicago Police Department on Thursday evening for an important public safety meeting. The meeting will be TOMORROW (October 4) at 7:30 p.m. at the Bernard Horwich JCC, 3003 W. Touhy. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss two fatal shootings that occurred this week in East Rogers Park. On Sunday morning, Douglass Watts was fatally shot on the 1400 block of W. Sherwin. On Monday night, Eliyahu Moscowitz was fatally shot around 10:20 p.m., while walking in Loyola Park near the lakefront. Mr. Moscowitz was a resident of the 50th Ward. These horrible crimes are receiving the full attention of the police department and the City of Chicago. Please join us TOMORROW for a briefing from the police and important safety information.
