You are part of a growing community of women joining together monthly on Rosh Chodesh. Chodesh Tammuz is a month that highlights the value of boundaries.  We see the damage of breaching the boundaries - the boundary of time in the case of the Golden Calf and physical boundaries in the breach of walls of Yerushalayim.  Both of these events occurred on the 17th date of Tammuz.  As women, we build the walls of our homes and mark time with our specially designated mitzvos of challah, family purity and candle lighting. We use boundaries to increase spirituality and meaning in our lives and the lives of others.
