| | Religious Liberty: The Shifting Landscape | | Following the Agudah's historic victory in the U.S. Supreme Court in a case involving freedom of religion, the Agudah hosted a briefing: Religious Liberty: The Shifting Landscape. The event focused on the impact that this ruling has already had on religious liberty cases across the country, and featured key players in the historic Supreme Court case. Notably, Avi Schick, Partner, at Troutman Pepper, the lead attorney for Agudath Israel in the case, and Eric Rassbach, Vice President and Senior Counsel at the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, one of the law firms representing Agudah at the Supreme Court, participated in the discussion. They were joined by Agudah's Chairman of the Board Shloime Werdiger, Executive Vice President, Rabbi Chaim Dovid Zwiebel, and Vice President for Government Affairs and Washington Director and Counsel, Rabbi Abba Cohen. | | Update from Agudath Israel of Illinois | | Agudath Israel of Illinois wishes to congratulate State Representative Emanuel "Chris" Welch on his historic election as Speaker of the Illinois House of Representatives.
