Agudah of Colorado is Excited to Announce the Expansion of the Zichron Tzvi-Denver Jewish Library
Agudath Israel of Colorado is excited to announce that the Zichron Tzvi-Denver Jewish Library has relocated to a new beautiful and more central location.

The Zichron Tzvi-Denver Jewish Library was started out of a basement back in 2018, when Agudath Israel of Colorado partnered with Rabbi Yosef and Mrs. Bracha Melamed to open the library, l'ilui nishmas Mrs. Melamed's brother Tzvi, with the mission of providing a quality Jewish reading experience for all Jewish children and young adults in the broader Jewish community of Denver.

Since 2018, the library has grown in size and scope, serving 68 families and having about 100 books checked out weekly. The library had about 300 books when it opened; now it offers some 1,200 books, including adult novels, short stories, autobiographies, biographies, children's books, and teen novels. Additionally, the library has progressed from using a paper system to keep track of books to a digital one. And now, in what is perhaps the library's biggest expansion, it has moved to the youth center in the new Kollel building.

Running the library is a community effort. Rabbi Yosef Melamed takes an active role in the library in terms of fundraising, grant procurement, financials and expansion. Mrs. Rivky Kaplan and Mrs. Bracha Melamed take care of the larger and day-to-day tasks in running the library. Additionally, girls from the Bais Yaakov volunteer at the library, making sure everything runs smoothly, from organizing books, helping those at the library find what they need, and checking out books.

"It is amazing to see the community come together to create this library which is such an important resource for our kids," said Rabbi Yossi Kaplan, director of Agudath Israel of Colorado. "It is my hope that the library will continue to grow and expand in size and scope to better serve the entire Denver Jewish community."
