OFFICE OF MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS

Dear YU Community,

We are so proud of what we have been able to accomplish during a time of great challenge and uncertainty to strengthen our four strategic pillars, as you will see in this issue of View from YU.

Values and Leadership

Our students and alumni continue to model being superb leaders in the world. For example, two alumni, Menashe Shapiro '97YC, '00C and Fred Kreizman '00SB, will be working with New York City Mayor Eric Adams as deputy chief of staff and commissioner of the Mayor's Community Affairs Unit, respectively.

Science and Technology

Our commitment to STEM instruction remains strong as shown by Chemda Wiener '21S and Eliana Feifel '21S, the first two recipients of the Innovation STEM Scholarship, awarded to students admitted into select Israeli graduate programs.

Great Jobs and Impactful Careers

The Shevet Glaubach Center for Career Strategy and Professional Development continues its unparalleled work counseling students on their career paths with standout events like "What is Wall Street?," an in-depth discussion with representatives from American Express, Jefferies, Genpact and Knickerbocker Financial Group about alternate careers in finance.

Entrepreneurship and Innovation

Three successful entrepreneurs—Riki Franco, Frances Zelazny and Tamar Shenkar—provided 62 undergraduate men and women (representing 18 majors) with practical advice about the risks and rewards of striking out on one's own in the world of business in a panel discussion hosted by the YU Innovation Lab.

All this and so much more, as you will read here in this edition of the View from YU, demonstrates that Yeshiva University is the flagship Jewish university.
