Dear Aneinu Members,
The Jewish world is in shock as we try to come to grips with the new reality, a world without the Prince of Torah, HaGaon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky zt"l.
The world is shaking, and we just cannot go on with our lives as if nothing has changed. The following message is from Rabbi Henoch Plotnik, the Rav of Aneinu Int'l. Please read it carefully and find something that you can do to help mitigate the midas hadin. May we all be zoche to greet Mashiach b"karov.
We have been taught that the passing of three Gedolim right before the atrocities of WWII were Hashem's way of removing our protection from the midas hadin.
Rav Pam's passing right before 9/11 was viewed by some ,the same way.
We are chalila on the verge of WWIII, even the Ukrainian president said so.
I look at this as a frightening call to do whatever we think we are doing well, just, a little bit better . A gesture, a move, something to show we are not sleepwalking. Don't get carried away with being mekabel Shabbos two hours early or such other over the top kabolos, but I think everyone needs to hear that in a time when the world is in the throes of one midas hadin after the next, Corona none withstanding, we must at least acknowledge it and find some place to manifest our behavior as being improved and enhanced.
