- Today, chaf alef adar beis, is the 3rd yahrtzeit of הבחור יהודה ז"ל בן יבלח"ט ר׳ אהרן. Yehuda was a child who had many challenges, yet lived a life of joy, bringing happiness to all who knew him. YahalomNY is dedicated and run li'iluy nishmaso. Yehuda's impact on the world of special needs has been tremendous. In just five months, YahalomNY has touched the lives of 500 families, through 6 separate programs. May the zechusim from YahalomNY be li'iluy nishmaso!
- One of those programs, in conjunction with Ohel-Bais Ezra, is sibling support groups for the siblings of children with special needs in Far Rockaway/Five Towns and Brooklyn. See below for more details and how to join.
- As the war in Ukraine continues and intensifies, we do not know how long this war will last and where it will go, Hashem yerachem. Here is what we do know: the money collected is being sent and used to save neshamos almost as fast as it is coming in. The need for funds to help people escape the Ukrainian war zone, and for food, lodging, and other necessities for refugees is mounting. We are doing whatever is necessary, including privately airlifting food and medical supplies over enemy lines to those in immediate need, and opening warehouses in Poland.
- We have thus raised our own goal, and will continue to do whatever we can to help our brothers and sisters in Ukraine. We hope you will do the same. | | Yahalom/Ohel-Bais Ezra Sibling Support Groups | | YahalomNY is pleased to announce in conjunction with Ohel-Bais Ezra, the start of sibling support groups for families in the Far Rockaway/Five Towns and Brooklyn areas. The Yahalom/Ohel-Bais Ezra Sibling Support Groups are monthly meetings for the siblings of children with special needs. The groups create an outlet for these children to have fun, food, and friendship with other girls or boys who understand what it's like to live with a sibling with special needs.
