Dear Aneinu Members,
The world has gone mad. How can a society continue to function when children are no longer safe in school? After every mass casualty incident there is talk about gun control, and about raising the protection levels in our schools and public institutions. It is time that people realize that when you remove G-d from the equation, you end up with evil and chaos. People have lost their moral compass and the world is spiraling into an abyss of darkness and despair.
We are called the Am Kadosh. A holy people. Our job is to bring kiddush Hashem into the world. We are supposed to mirror Hashem with our actions, our speech, our thoughts. Are we doing our job? The world depends on us to be a beacon of light, a model of how a person is supposed to behave; with dignity, with respect, with modesty, with honesty.
Everything that happens in the world is a message to the Jewish people. Are we hearing the message? There is so much chilul Hashem in the world today. We have to work harder to use every opportunity to bring kiddush Hashem into the world. Each one of us has to be a glowing candle that will light up the world with goodness and holiness. The world is depending on us. Hashem is depending on us. We can do it.
Please remember to say your Tehillim this Shabbos. B"H the days are longer now, but It is still perfectly fine to say your Tehillim on Friday night. You may check the Shabbos Tehillim spreadsheet if you are unsure which kappitlach you signed up for.
