  • Agudath Israel of Florida applauds Governor Ron DeSantis for signing bill SB 254, deeming houses of worship "essential services," ensuring state and local governments allow religious services to stay open during states of emergencies. "We are very encouraged by the governor and the legislature recognizing the value that prayer and religion has in people's lives," said Rabbi Moshe Matz, director of Agudath Israel of Florida.

  • Rabbi Ari Weisenfeld, director of Agudah's Connecticut office met with leaders of the growing Chabad community in New Haven. See below for more details about their discussion.

Rabbi Ari Weisenfeld, director of Agudah's Connecticut office met with leaders of the growing Chabad community in New Haven. In the meeting, arranged and hosted by community askan Emmet Gilles, they discussed the importance of having a unified agenda at the legislative session, and addressed specifics of how Agudah can help their schools with the Department of Education, as well as other areas for collaboration such as voter registration, developing relationships with state representatives, and constituent issues.
