As we continue to prepare for the joyous day of Yud-Alef Nissan, the Rebbe's birthday, we bring you selected content on the topic of 'Traveling to the Rebbe' in connection with 11 Nissan. We hope to continue sending selected content in the coming days leading up to Yud Alef Nissan.
Chassidim would travel from near and far to be with the Rebbe on the special day of Yud-Alef Nissan. The Rebbe's gratitude to the guests who came was very noticeable. In one particular year, as a group of guests were preparing to depart from 770, the Rebbe went to the street and stood by the bus that was taking them to the airport, this was very unusual, as the Rebbe would usually stand by the door of 770 to see off the guests. The Rebbe stood there until they all boarded the bus and only then returned to his room in 770.
