Public Safety Alert - Armed Robberies Dear Neighbor, The 24th District Police informed me of four related robberies that occurred late Tuesday night. In each instance, a lone suspect approached victims who were walking on the street. The suspect was driving a dark colored SUV with no headlights illuminated. He exited the vehicle and demanded money while pointing a black handgun at the victims. He then took the victims' money and fled in the same dark colored SUV.   Incident location and times: 6200 Block of N Talman Ave, on August 29, 2023, at 11:23 PM 6300 Block of N Rockwell St, on August 29, 2023, at 11:49 PM 6300 Block of N California Ave, on August 29, 2023, at 11:55 PM 6300 Block of N California Ave, on August 30, 2023, at 12:05 AM  The suspect was described as a male African American, 20-30 years of age, and wearing dark clothing. He was described as having a dreadlock hairstyle.   Please always be aware of your surroundings and immediately report suspicious activity to 9-1-1. If you have any information about these incidents, contact the Area 3 Bureau of Detectives at (312) 744-8263 and reference Pattern #P23-3-060.   This is an ongoing investigation.
