However, we understand the need to balance our duties to all beneficiaries.
,
I am writing to you with the hope that you and your families are safe and well during this challenging time.
At Daily Giving, we have put all of our efforts into supporting our brothers and sisters in Israel who have found themselves missing family, their homes, their jobs, basic necessities, and peace of mind.
Over the last two weeks, we paused our normal distributions and sent 100% of our daily dollars to Israeli organizations who are on the front lines and meeting every need of Israeli citizens and soldiers.
In addition, we created the Israel Emergency Fund in order to multiply our impact and provide our Daily Givers with an easy, effective, and trustworthy way to donate as much money to Israel as possible.
This fund has allowed our Daily Givers to make HUGE impacts. Over the course of the last few weeks, we have given out over $500,000 to Israeli organizations, including United Hatzalah, Magen David Adom, Meir Panim, Pantry Packers, Leket, and many more.
These funds were all used for very specific war-related projects such as supplies-distribution, medical assistance, and professional counseling.
The majority of these donations have been matched by generous donors, making our total impact a whopping $862,334!
Because of dedicated donors like you, we have been able to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our chayalim as well as Israelis and their families.
But we also have a responsibility to all 78 of our organizations, including the ones that are not based in Israel.
As a Daily Giver, you know that our beneficiary organizations depend on our consistent donations in order to help Jews around the world who are struggling with financial instability, food insecurity, lack of clothing, difficult medical conditions, and more.
As a result, we have come to the difficult decision to resume our daily distributions to our beneficiaries, in alphabetical order, as normal.
At the same time, we will keep our Israel Emergency Fund wide open, and we will exclusively distribute every cent of those funds to Israeli support.
(It is important to note that many of our non-Israeli nonprofits have shifted their work and are directing their energy toward Israel relief efforts. By supporting these organizations, Daily Givers are still supporting Israel.)
As always, Daily Giving never takes a penny of your donations for its own operations.
We know there is still a tremendous need in Israel. Please, continue to give to our Israel Emergency Fund, and please share it with your friends and family. It is still a crucial avenue of support for our organizations that are on the ground in Israel, helping our brothers and sisters around the clock.
If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to view the projects and organizations that have received donations from our Israel Emergency Fund by scrolling to the bottom of the page.
May Israel see a speedy victory, may our chayalim and the hostages come home safe, and may we all celebrate together in Yerushalayim very soon.
Am Yisrael Chai!
Sincerely,
Dr. Jonathan Donath
