We are all still reeling from the horrific tragedy which took place in Eretz Yisroel on Shemini Atzeres/Simchas Torah. Thousands of Jews brutally massacred, tortured, maimed, taken hostage, displaced, deeply impacted by evil of unfathomable proportions.
And if we, the Jewish community of America, are still reeling from this barbaric assault, just imagine what our dear brothers and sisters in Eretz Yisroel are going through.
We are hearing from countless families who are in desperate need of assistance. Some have been driven from their homes. Some need help in dealing with severe emotional trauma. Some have been thrust into dire poverty.
In response, Agudath Israel has created the Keren Yeshuah Israel Relief Fund, an emergency fund for families affected by the horrific attacks in Eretz Yisroel. The fund will be administered by trusted gabo'im in Eretz Yisroel and overseen by members of the Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah.
For these needy families, there is no going back to the way things were before. But we can try to help them move forward, addressing their immediate needs and providing longer-term assistance as necessary.
