March 26, 2024 | 16 Adar 2, 5784   BARUCH DAYAN HAEMES Agudath Israel of Illinois joins in mourning the loss of Dr. Yosef Walder, z"l, a man who was focused on improving the Jewish world and the lives of the individuals who depend on the resources in our community. His pioneering initiatives, the Kehillah Fund and the Walder Education Center, are just two endeavors that have left a lasting impact on Jewish education in Chicago and beyond. Dr. Walder's determination to ensure quality chinuch for every Jewish child was unparalleled in our generation.  He, along with his wife, Mrs. Shira Malka Walder, have been staunch supporters of every organization and service in the Chicago Jewish community. His leadership and innovation will be missed, and we wish Mrs. Walder much strength as she continues his legacy on behalf of the Chicago Jewish community and Klal Yisroel. May he be a meilitz yosher for Mrs. Walder, their children, and the entire Jewish community. The levaya will take place Wednesday, March 27, 2024, 8:00 pm in Ateres Ayala - 3412 W.
