Once the Jewish soul is fortified, once its essential spark is coaxed into a steady flame, there are no limits to the heights it can soar. We must all hurry and help those asking for this…

22 Kislev, 5785
By the Grace of G‑d

Across the globe, people of all types have been celebrating the last few days (19-20 Kislev/Dec. 20-21 onward) as the "Rosh Hashanah of Chassidism," complete with personal and communal learning, public gatherings of inspiration, and mutual well-wishing and blessing.

Drawing from the Torah's inner, or "secret" dimension, as organized by Chabad's system of advanced philosophy, people are nurturing and fortifying their souls, learning more about G-d and about how we can relate to Him.

In fact, we are witnessing in real-time an unprecedented surge of spiritual seekers -- right now.

Because it's such an auspicious time and so many are searching, I am writing now to ask you for your help. All of these people can really use your help!

Even fourteen and a half months after Oct 7, the growing wave of spiritual seekers has not abated, demonstrating a sustained and profound quest for spiritual connection and guidance.

The raw, searing pain of the Jewish people everywhere (and each day anew) has shaken so many of us to our core and elicited a primal, inarticulable awakening of our souls' deepest depths, and a yearning for oneness with all Jews!

At that very same time, the explicit miracles that G-d keeps orchestrating worldwide, especially in and near the Holy Land, are calling out to us ever more robustly to respond in kind! So lots of people are coming to Chabad.org to determine how one celebrates these extraordinary, still-unfolding miracles.

And yet many others seek insight into how these two opposite emotions (and facts!) can co-exist!

The spiritual nourishment and answers and guidance they seek is as vital as the air we breathe; it's the holy energy we all need to face each day. Our goal at Chabad.org is, with G-d's help, to provide learning, inspiration, and light to fortify their minds, hearts and souls.

Once the Jewish soul is fortified, once its essential spark is coaxed into a steady flame, there are no limits to the heights it can soar, and to the miracles it can achieve!

Like the one pure, undefiled jug of olive oil in the Chanukah story…

So in honor of this special day, plus Chanukah's quick approach (!), would you please contribute generously -- to nurture and fortify countless special "flames"?

May I suggest you give $180, or $360, perhaps $540?

Any amount that fits your budget and expresses your passion for Jewish life, Jewish wisdom and Jewish practice that repairs the world. Every dollar will be put to good use!

Please donate today on our secure page: Chabad.org/Give

Because people need you now more than ever.

Everyone is looking for that little oil to light up so much darkness -- and to bathe the world with Divine light. You can help them find it. You can ensure that it is lit for them.

This is why we're turning to you now with this special request. If you are able, could you please give now?

Chabad.org is the world's biggest and most active Jewish website. It is for many millions the go-to place for Jewish information and life tools. It serves as an oasis, a lifeline to serenity, to meaning, to G-d's timeless wisdom. Your donation will help fortify this priceless treasure house of Jewish wisdom and living so we can meet today's expanded and increasing demands.

We need to help each person individually. For each one is an entire world, and each has that miraculous undefiled Chanukah oil inside of them.

Your donation to Chabad.org will help provide them with sustenance to satiate and nurture their minds and their hearts, and to nurture and fortify their souls.

It is the friendship and partnership of people like you -- people who understand the power of timeless Jewish wisdom and inspiration, that allows us to be there for them.

As we near the end of the fiscal year 2024, we really need to close our books STRONG, so we can meet all the urgent and growing needs. This will happen only through your kindness, coupled with the kindness of others. (And then we can start the next fiscal year fully ready.)

Your donation is tax-deductible for 2024 if you give by December 31. But even if you don't plan to itemize your tax return, we hope you'll give now -- because the need is very real and poignant now.

Giving is always a great thing. It's a great way to extend the celebration of Rosh Hashanah of Chassidism. It's a great way to prepare for Chanukah. It's a great way to end the fiscal year. And it's a great mitzvah that will fill someone's heart -- or many, many hearts! -- with joy and fulfillment.

On behalf of the countless Chabad.org beneficiaries worldwide, I wish you a successful year of inner growth through the teachings of Chassidism, and an early Happy Chanukah!

With blessings from all of us at Chabad.org,

Sincerely,

Rabbi Zalman Shmotkin
