Nachum Segal Interviews EDON from America's Got Talent

From Shalsheles Junior to the world stage Edon Pinchot is using his God given talents to entertain and create a great Kiddush Hashem. Nachum welcomed EDON Pinchot to the air this morning to discuss his participating in this season's America's Got Talent competition. A current Chicago resident, 14-year-old Edon has played piano since he was nine years old and has been singing even longer; Edon was also featured in Shalsheles Junior on their "Shalsheles Junior 2" CD. He joined America's Got Talent's top 48 contestants, where he will compete to win a one-million-dollar prize. Nachum Segal Features Partners in Torah and their Part in the Siyum HaShas

As the conversations about the Siyum HaShas continue Nachum welcomed Rabbi Eli Gewirtz, Don Miller, & Shlomo Berger to the air to discuss Partners in Torah (P.I.T.) and their role in the upcoming Siyum. Even a full year later, we have all been deeply affected by Leiby's tragic passing. Many of us want desperately to do good deeds in his name but aren't quite sure how to go about it. Fortunately, Leiby's parents Nachman & Esty Kletzky have created this fund to honor Leiby's memory as a way to do good for the community. The Fund hopes to raise one million dollars overall for its projects on behalf of children. These children live all year in a tense environment and suffer from nervousness, anxiety, stress and neglect. They know not a carefree youth and have yet to feel the affection of someone close. They face constant angst at the place they call home and by the very people who are supposed to love and protect them. For these unfortunate children, summer camp is a safe haven - a desperately needed respite. For these children camp is not a luxury, but an absolute necessity that literally changes their lives. For these kids, summer vacation isn't just freedom from school, homework and tests. It is freedom from abuse, isolation and neglect. At a safe summer camp, these children are provided for with care, affection, and fun, that unlike most children, they don't experience all year long. The Leiby Kletzky Camp Fund provides these children with clothing, shoes, bedding - whatever they lack - due to a lifetime of deprivation. This new song “ONE” was composed by Sarah Dukes in honor and memory of Leiby Kletzky z’tl (therefore being released on his yahrtzeit) and performed by the talented Yaron Gershovsky. Below is a message from Sarah about the song. This song is about one boy, a boy whom we all loved but never met. It is about the effect that this one, young, innocent child had on the entire world: he united a nation. He proved that we can work together as one, and showed us that we are one. He taught us that we can have pure, ahavas chinam- even towards someone we have never met. He taught us the power of one: of one individual, of one people, of one heart. His name was Leiby. Let’s continue to live Leiby’s lesson. Let’s be there to help one man, one woman, one child, one neshama. Let’s have ahavas chinam towards a complete stranger. We can do it.
