Tehillim 131
David HaMelech, by nature of the fact that he was a king, had a challenge in the area of not being haughty. The greater the person is, the more difficult the challenge is. However, David worked on himself and recognized that all that he had, had come from Hashem. He was nothing more than a baby suckling from its mother (v.2). The attribute of humility is one of the necessary ingredients for the ultimate redemption and hope for the future (v.3).
Segula for this perek:  To help one deal with their own haughtiness. (From the Sefer Shimush Tehillim attributed to Rav Hai Gaon (969 -1038).)
1.  A song of ascent by David. Hashem, my heart was not haughty, nor were my eyes raised on high, and I did not pursue matters greater and more wondrous than I.
2.  I swear that I calmed and quieted my soul like a suckling on its mother; like a suckling was my soul with me.
3.  Israel, hope to Hashem from now to eternity.

Tehillim 132
Everyone has a mission in life. In our world, credit is often given only when the mission is completed successfully. This is a mistake. Sometimes a person's mission is to lay the groundwork and prepare for a next step. David HaMelech was not allowed to build the Beit HaMikdash, but he was allowed to prepare for its construction.
David's mission was to prepare, instead of to come out with a finished product. Hashem rewards every person for what their mission is.
May we all merit to realize and fulfill our lives' missions.
Segula for this perek: For helping one who is quick to swear. (From the Sefer Shimush Tehillim attributed to Rav Hai Gaon (969 -1038).)

1.  A song of ascents. Remember, Hashem, onto David all his affliction.
2.  That he swore to Hashem, he vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob;
3.  That I shall not come into the tent of my house, and I shall not go up on the bed that was spread for me.
4.  I shall not give sleep to my eyes nor slumber to my pupils,
5.  Until I find a place for Hashem, dwellings for the Mighty One of Jacob.
6.  Behold we heard it in Ephrath; we found it in the fields of the forest.
7.  Let us come to His Tabernacles; let us prostrate ourselves to His footstool.
8.  Arise, Hashem, to Your resting place, You and the Ark of Your might.
9.  Let Your priests be clothed with righteousness, and let Your devout ones sing praises.
10.  For the sake of David Your servant, turn not away the face of Your anointed.
11.  Hashem has sworn to David in truth, from which He will never turn back, "Of the fruit of your body I shall seat upon your throne.
12.  If your sons keep My covenant, and this, My testimony, which I shall teach them, also their sons will sit on your throne forever."
13.  For Hashem has chosen Zion; He desired it for His habitation.
14.  This is My resting place forever; here I shall dwell for I desired it.
15.  I shall bless its provision; I shall sate its needy with bread.
16.  And its priests I shall clothe with salvation, and its devout ones will sing praises.
17.  There I shall cause David's horn to sprout; I have set up a lamp for My anointed.
18.  His enemies I shall clothe with shame, and upon him his crown will shine.
