Subject: [chicago-aneinu] Chayalim update from mother in Ramat Eshkol
Our parents' group was just informed that another 2 boys from our pluga
Tzanchanim 890 have fallen. It's not in the news yet, but you'll see their
names in the morning.
Our chayalim are involved in heavy fighting in Gaza at the moment...now in
the cold and rain...no hot meals or showers for over two weeks...just from
shabbos til now, I think eleven idf soldiers have fallen. Eleven is a high
number for 2 days! Morale is waining and the chayalim are getting tired.
I know the bochrim are tired too. But please tell them to push themselves
to keep learning hard day and night for our chayalim. Even if it's a push
to have cavana for one more bracha, or 10 more minutes on a sugya. Or just
trying harder in one little thing once a day. We need their strivings in
Torah!
The guys who are learning and the guys who are fighting are like two arms
of the same body. We need BOTH to win the ruchnius war and physical war.
Please encourage everyone in your household to go out and learn with EXTRA
fervor today...as though someone's life depends in it...because it
absolutely does.
Please daven for my son Avraham Yeshayahu ben Deena Bracha Leah.
