Segulot for Sukkot

Dear friends and family, written below are Segulot (auspicious womens) for Chag Succot by Rabanit Yemima Mizrahi. ๐Ÿ’Segulot can bring blessings and mircales.

๐Ÿ”ฅThis is not a Segulah, rather a crucial and basic principle of Sukkot. The most important thing on Sukkot is to be happy ALL THE TIME during the ENTIRE Holiday of Sukkot. It says that one who is happy at absolutely every moment during Sukkot is guaranteed to be happy all year, and have a happy year. Be very careful not to be unhappy for even a moment, this ruins the Mitsvah of being happy on Sukkot (vesamachta bechagecha vehayita ACH sameach/ and you shall be happy during your holiday and be ONLY happy). Of course this is not easy, things can be stressful, you can be having a lot on your mind or going through a difficult time. Nevertheless, you must strive very hard to be happy always during Sukkot.

Segulot:

-  ๐Ÿ”ฅdo your very best not to sin in any way, not to speak or listen to Lashon hara๐Ÿค

- ๐Ÿ”ฅdon't leave empty utensils in the Sukkah or dirty plates after you finished eating on them, only an empty glass is permissible

- ๐Ÿ”ฅif you speak Hebrew, try to speak Hebrew in the Sukah. The Sukah is the Room of Hashem, ๐Ÿ‘‘you are literally with Him and all the Tzadikim. A non Jew cannot enter the Sukkah. Be very careful who you speak to.

- ๐Ÿ”ฅdo something physical for the Chag, so that you sweat while doing something in honor of Chag.

- ๐Ÿ’‘Segulah for Zivug to get married this year: go to Sukkah ⛺as much as possible, and ask for your Zivug in the Sukkah. Do every little thing you need to do in the Sukah, spend as much time as possible in the Sukah.

- ๐Ÿ”ฅwe read the book of Kohelet on Sukkot

- ๐Ÿ”ฅdon't get angry ๐Ÿ˜–in the Sukah, if you feel you want to scream or be angry you have to leave the Sukah, for it is holy.

- ๐Ÿ”ฅhuge Segulah for parnasa ๐Ÿ’ฐ๐Ÿ’ต๐Ÿ’ด๐Ÿ’ถ(income) and for maintaining your relationship with husband๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿป/ wife:  ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปnight, give a kiss to all "ktalim" (walls) of the Sukah⛺

- ๐Ÿ”ฅSegulah: give charity every day leading up to Sukot ⛺as much as possible

- ๐Ÿ”ฅvesamschta be chagecha: it's a huge Mitsvah to be happy. Buy yourself something (clothing, jewelry) that makes you happy and wear it during the Holiday.

- ๐Ÿ”ฅSegulah for health, ๐Ÿฉfrom Rabbi Ovadia Yosef : the four species are capable of bringing health, hold each of them and ask for health while holding them. The lulav: ๐ŸŒฟfor the spine, ask for a balance during the year ask in Hebrew (all Hebrrw words should be read from last word to first, typing issues) : (ืฉืืจื’ื™ืฉ ื™ืฆื™ื‘ื•ืช ื”ืฉื ื”) . Hadas: capable of healing the eyes, ask that you will be able to judge people in a scale of merit( In Hebrew ask: ืฉืื•ื›ืœ ืœื“ื•ืŸ ืœื›ืฃ ื–ื›ื•ืช.) Etrog: can bring healing to heart, ask to be able to do as many good deeds as possible in Hebrew ask: ( ืฉืื•ื›ืœ ืœืขืฉื•ืช ื›ืžื” ืฉื™ื•ืชืจ ืžืขืฉื™ื ื˜ื•ื‘ื™ื.) Arava: lips, ๐Ÿ‘„ask that you will merit speaking good things and no Lashon hara. ๐ŸคArava is also capable to fix dental problems. In Hebrew ask (ืฉืื•ื›ืœ ืœืขืฉื•ืช ื›ืžื” ืฉื™ื•ืชืจ ืžืขืฉื™ื ื˜ื•ื‘ื™ื.)

- ๐Ÿ”ฅWEDNESDAY, you can eat until 2.15, pm from this time on, don't eat until your Chag evening meal. Why? We need a very large appetite for the first meal of Chag, if you don't want food very much, you don't fulfill the obligation of Mitsvah of eating the Seuda of Chag. This is very important. Therefore, on Sunday evening meal, have the kavana to eat in zecher (memory) of Ananei HaKavod (the coulds that followed our journey in the wilderness) and then you will have fulfilled the obligation.

- ๐Ÿ”ฅa person who is renewing their house or building a new house or moving houses, spend as much time as possible in the Sukah๐Ÿ•

- ๐ŸŒฟ⛺every night 7 Ushpizin (guests) arrive to the Sukah and they are:๐ŸŒฟ⛺

1- ๐Ÿ‘‘Avraham Avinu : blesses you because you host guests (hachnasat orchim)

2- ๐Ÿ‘‘Itschak: blesses you with gevura, courage

3 - ๐Ÿ‘‘Yaakov: blesses you that you will be able to find the spiritual in this world, mix the spiritual with what's not spiritual. That we will be beautiful as well as Kedosha (holy)

4- ๐Ÿ‘‘Moshe Rabeinu: blesses you that you be filled with Torah and happiness

5- ๐Ÿ‘‘Aaron: blesses us with Shalom Bayit, peace in the home

6- ๐Ÿ‘‘Yosef: blesses you with both a mix of being beautiful and Tznua (modest and beautiful)

7- ๐Ÿ‘‘King David: blesses you on Tefilah (prayer)

In each one of your bakashot (requests), have the meaning to accept your blessing with love

- ๐Ÿ”ฅevening Hoshana Raba: huge Segulah to finish the book of Tehilim (psalms) and at the end of your reading, go to the end of the Tehilim book and read the concluding section you read after finishing Tehilim and it specifies what needs to be said on Hoshana Raba.

- ๐Ÿ”ฅSegulah for best advice possible: if you have hesitations, uncertainties in a certain subject, the person who will answer you the best answer possible, is Hashem. You have an opportunity to receive an answer from Hashem. When you're in the Sukah, tell Hashem in your own words what you can't decide on, or what you don't know what to do about, and in the merit of your happiness and your effort that you're putting in during Chag Sukot, you will receive Ruach Ha Kodesh, Holy Spirit, and you will receive an answer about the matter you're hesitating about.

It says that when Masiach will arrive, it will be on Hoshana Raba. Amen, May It be Hashem's Will

Chag Seameach!๐Ÿ•๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿท๐Ÿพ

Here are a few beautiful ideas from Rabbanit Yemimah Mizrachi:

"Even though they've gotten us used to the idea that women aren't obligated in the mitzva of Sukka and if the sukkah is small the women get to sit outside to make room for the men, I ask you all: On the first night, push yourself in! The schach, the sukka's ceiling, over which there shouldn't be anything else between it and the sky; The holy Zohar calls it The Shadow of Faith. When you're under the schach you're shaded by faith, a direct channel of communication with Hashem. What you ask for under the schach, you get.

The sukkah is an amazing place. It's a womb: "You sheltered me in my mother's womb", says King David. The interior of rechem, womb and the sukka is a rachamim compassion.
You go in and can create a completely new life for yourself.

On the first night, kiss the walls of the holy sukkah!

It's true, women are only obligated to sit in the sukkah on the first night, but you should know, each day that you're there, beneath the schach, works its wonders on you...

Send your kids to sleep in the sukkah from the littlest age possible. "But she's a baby. What if she wakes up?" Tell your husband to nurse her;)

During this sleep Hashem sends faith, fear of Heaven, desire to pray, and understanding in Torah. The kids get fear of Heaven for the whole year when they sleep in the sukkah..."

"And most important, what do you collect from the festival of collecting, for the whole year? Joy!

It says it a bunch of times: You shall rejoice in your festival. You shall be exclusively joyful. You shall rejoice before Hashem your God for seven days.

The Arizal said, whoever rejoices and is of good heart and does not allow himself to feel bad during this holy festival, is guaranteed that the year will be counted as good, and that he will be happy the whole year.

It's not just recommended that you be happy; it's the main mitzva and the essence of the holiday. So if you get angry, if you're suffering, leave the sukka. That very moment. When you feel like screaming and can't hold back — not in the sukka. You're cutting off your source of abundance for the whole year.

This holiday is all joy. It's the only one called chag in the Torah. Shavuot is called Atzeret; Pesach is called "The festival of matzot"; the only one actually called a "festival" is Sukkot. Everyone wants to sit in the  — chug — midst of his family; everyone wants to dance in a circle in joy — ַืœื—ื•ּื’.

And another huge question: What is "The time of our rejoicing"? Is joy really connected to a specific time of year? We know joy is connected to couplehood, for example. Or to money. Or food. Or beauty. What's the joy of Sukkot? That you accumulate those seven days under you. In sukkot you will sit!

Rabbi Eliezer Hagadol says, I praise the lazy people on this festival. The whole mitzva of Sukkot is to be lazy! Sit with your family, in that crowded little place, and just look at them. Look at one another.

That's joy. Time. That's what our children are missing. Not only quality time, but any quantity of time.

Don't make your sukkah a public thoroughfare, with a million guests in and out, so you can't even see your children. Don't go on trips. Go for short outings and return to your joint family womb.

"Yemima, but I'm just not happy. Things are bad. How can I be happy during the holiday?"

A good question. Whoever doesn't have a husband, children, or money, what does joy have to do with them?

Quite a bit! Hashem chooses to rejoice specifically with the people who lack. The holy Zohar writes, "During the pilgrimage festivals Hashem comes down and strokes his broken vessels. He goes from sukkah to sukkah saying, 'Oh my daughter, this year I'll give you a husband.' 'This year you'll have a wonderful baby.' 'This year I'll give you such sustenance you wouldn't believe; you'll buy a new apartment.' 'This year your husband will be nice to you...'"

Rabbi Avitan says:

The Zohar Hakadosh reveals that the sukkah acts as a special protection. It protects us from all bad forces and more specifically from the yetzer hara. Men and women both should make an extra effort to spend as much time as possible in the sukkah throughout the entire chag.

It important to note that although women do not have an obligation to sit in the sukkah, they are rewarded for every second spent in the sukkah.

Rabbi Chaim Palagi zt'l states that one who sits in the sukkah, he will have shalom bayit, harmony with his/her spouse all year round.

Rabbi Naftali Horowitz, promises that whoever sits in the sukkah will live a long life.

The Zohar Hakadosh says that residing in the sukkah is one of the few mitzvot that is performed with one's entire body.

Being in the sukkah is like being in the "Shade of emuna". Being in a sukkah, which provides a special protection, is compared to a child being his mother's womb. Our entire being is under Hashem's protection. It is as though we are reborn and are blessed with great protection and rescue.

The same way, anyone with the slightest health issue or discomfort (fatigue, a cold, not comfortable in the sukkah....) is exempted from sitting in the sukkah, the sukkah has the power to eliminate even the slightest struggle one can have (lack of shalom bayit, being single, lack of parnassa, no children...).

The Baal Hayesod Yosef states that the sukkah is a very holy place and anything we do within the sukkah has a very big impact in heaven. Learning torah in the sukkah can bring a person to very high places.

It is good to be happy in the sukkah, read tehillim, pray for your personal needs... the holiness of the sukkah is astounding. The impact of any simple action within the sukkah is beyond our understanding and can bring abundance of blessing.
For zivug hagun Boris Bahor ben Zhanna amen
For zivug hagun Rachel bat Zhanna amen
Wishing you all true joy ๐ŸŒฟ
