BRI WEEKLY UPDATES
Together with the tens of thousands of Breslov Chassidim, we thank Hashem for the merit of being present at the holy gathering in Uman. We also witnessed the many obstacles, the pain, and the challenges that many people faced. We now pray for the future.

It is evident that spending Rosh Hashanah with Rebbe Nachman is a sacred battle against the sitra achra (the forces of evil). As Rebbe Nachman said, each person's journey has a part in hastening the final redemption.

We pray that we all merit forgiveness and atonement from Hashem this Yom Kippur for all our transgressions, and that we soon witness the complete and final redemption, speedily in our days.
We would like to share Likutey Moharan II, Lesson 66 from the BRI English-Hebrew Edition with you on the topic of Yom Kippur. We have also included a selection of beautiful Breslov prayers from Reb Noson's Likutey Tefilot. We hope these will enhance the day.

With Hashem's help, we have reprinted and upgraded A Children's Treasury of Rebbe Nachman's Stories.

The 8 stories are spread into 2 volumes. The books are on their way to the US and will be arriving shortly. The 2 volumes are presently available in Israel and the rest of the world.

BRI TORAH TIDBITS
"For on this day, you will be forgiven, to purify yourselves from your sins before G-d…" (Leviticus 16:30).

What a day! Imagine a person has committed wrongs—once, twice, even hundreds of times!

As we understand, if a person transgresses the law, there is a price to pay. Run a red light, there's a ticket and fine. Steal or commit murder, and the penalties are much greater. Sin before HaShem, and similarly, there's a consequence for the blemish caused.

But in HaShem's Court of Law, there's an amazing system. Like a "plea bargain," we can go before HaShem and plead guilty—yes, guilty. But He is the Judge, and He can accept any plea you offer. He has the power to reduce, excuse or even completely absolve the judgment against us. He can forgive in entirety!

"God said, 'I will forgive as you ask'" (Numbers 14:20). Reb Noson comments, "According to how you ask, you will be forgiven." With non-interest in our prayers, there may be some forgiveness, but only to a certain extent. Thus, it depends on how we truly ask and request forgiveness. If we are sincere, HaShem could forgive us EVERYTHING!

Have a great year, a gmar chatimah tovah, and may you be sealed in the Book of Life, Amen.

Chaim Kramer
