WHAT DO WE KNOW

ABOUT REBBETZIN RIVKAH?

Dear Kehot Friend,

Rebbetzin Rivkah Schneersohn, was the fifth Rebbetzin of Lubavitch, married to Rabbi Shmuel, the Rebbe Maharash.

Her grandson, the sixth Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak, was profoundly influenced by her noble and gracious personality, and frequently fondly reminisced and lovingly wrote about her life.

Tonight, as we mark the birthday of her husband, the Rebbe Maharash, I invite you to join us in the great merit of publishing biographical sketches of her life, penned by her grandson, the Frierdiker Rebbe.

Read of her illustrious ancestry and bitter orphanhood, and how later, when she married R. Shmuel of Lubavitch and also became the daughter-in-law of the "Tzemach Tzedek," she broke out of her earlier period of adversity, and experienced a life of tranquility, honor, and glory, building a serene household with her distinguished husband, which was admired by all.

I encourage you to visit our website and donate now.

May the merit of retelling the story of the saintly Rebbetzin Rivkah bring you copious blessings from Above.

We thank you for your past and current generosity and participation.

Sincerely,

Rabbi Yosef B. Friedman

In the words of the Rebbe...

"One who contributes from his wealth for the purpose of writing or publishing a book of a tzaddik --

Behold, at any given time, and in any corner of the world, that a person studies from this book, the tzaddik on high evokes merit on behalf of the donor through whom the book was disseminated."

--The Rebbe (Igrot Kodesh, vol 2)
