AMBASSADORS OF CHESED
Dear ,
Just this morning, a missile hit our Daycare Center in Be'er Sheva, causing significant damage.
Miraculously, the daycare building was empty, and no children or staff were physically harmed. However, the destruction of classrooms and play areas has deeply impacted dozens of local families who rely on the center for stability, safety, and childcare.
This daycare center is on the Tchelet Mordechai Campus, York Center. It is part of the Ohr Chaya and Larissa Blavatnik chain of daycare centers and one of 18 operated by Colel Chabad across Israel. These centers provide working mothers with secure, loving, and reliable care for their young children, even during times of national emergency.
"This daycare has always been a place of warmth, safety, and continuity for children and parents alike, especially during times of national crisis," said Mrs. Leah Blau, Director of the center. "To see it torn apart by an act of war is devastating. We thank G-d that no one was injured, but our work must continue—rebuilding not just walls, but a sense of security for our children."
We plan to rebuild as soon as it is safe to do so. We recognize the critical role this daycare plays in numerous families and the community as a whole. In the meantime, we are working to secure an alternative space to continue providing this necessary service.
Contribute to all of our emergency efforts
May we all enjoy a peaceful Shabbos,
Rabbi Sholom Duchman
