BRI WEEKLY UPDATES
I'm on a special lecturing journey to discuss the significance and virtue of the days of the Counting of the Omer.

This week, I was in Chicago, Toronto, and now Montreal. Here are some pictures from the Chicago classes:

"And you shall count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath" (Leviticus 23:15)

When a writer pens a story, it should be interesting enough to be put into writing. The Torah commands us that each person should be the author of their own story, writing a book about their deeds. This can only happen if we value what we do. If someone were to ask you about the story of your life, in most cases, you would struggle to answer. "I got up, I prayed, I studied a little, I did hitbodedut, and so on." But the essence would be missing – the value in what you've done.

Someone who appreciates every blessing they recite, every prayer they utter, every commandment they fulfill, such as wearing tzitzit, tefillin, and so forth, could fill pages with the richness of their days. This is our greatest challenge today: not appreciating what we do.

Reb Noson teaches us: be the author of your own story. Document everything you do in life so you can put it into writing. This is the power of the days of counting the Omer. Every day is precious, regardless of how many falls occurred. Today is a day to be noted, very much so, to be put into writing.

May we merit to truly appreciate what we do. Amen.

Shabbat Shalom
