Stronger United: March 17 Primary Election Highlighted in Mishpacha

Rabbi Shlomo Soroka was quoted extensively in Mishpacha magazine's article last week about the upcoming primary election. The article discussed the race for the 9th congressional district, which will effectively determine who represents almost all of the Chicago Orthodox community. The Government Affairs office voting hotline 847-VOTE-NOW (call or text) is able to assist with mail ballot ordering and pickup and to advise about all voting needs.

Yahalom Mom's Night Out event

This past Sunday evening, Yahalom Chicago hosted a night out for mothers of individuals with special needs. The program featured a movement and yoga session led by Hally Goldstein, giving participants the opportunity to relax and recharge.

Following the session, the mothers enjoyed refreshments and companionship in the beautiful Agudah Community Center. The mothers who attended described the evening as "rejuvenating " and "just what I needed". All agreed that the evening provided a valuable and meaningful opportunity to connect with others who share similar experience.

Second Successful Mobile DMV Event

AIOI partnered with the Secretary of State's office to host our second successful Mobile DMV Event. While our first event in October was open to the broader community, last week's event was tailored specifically for over 50 Kollel yungeleit and Bnei Yeshiva, assisting them with obtaining Real IDs, license renewals, and vehicle stickers.

By bringing the DMV directly to the community, appointments were significantly more accessible and efficient, saving participants valuable time and eliminating the need to travel to crowded DMV locations. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with participants appreciating the convenience and dignified environment. Because the DMV offers limited partnership opportunities, we are already working to secure the next available date to continue providing this important service to the community.
