In January 2004, there was an outcry over the decision of Rabbi Lamm and other administrators to host a delegation of cardinals in the Yeshiva University beit midrash. In response, Rabbi Lamm delivered this sichat mussar explaining the decision. See what you can make out from his notes!
Shortly after Rabbi Lamm visited India in 1961, a controversy arose surrounding the Orthodox Union's periodical Mebaser, which published antagonistic material about members of the Chief Rabbinate who had questioned the legitimacy of certain marriages and divorces. Mebaser issued a response – and happened to include a photograph of Rabbi Lamm from his visit.
