Through the largest gift in Orthodox Union history, Dr. Monique Katz and her family will expand and strengthen JLIC programming for thousands of students at Tel Aviv University and Bar-Ilan University, with the Tel Aviv University program named in perpetuity in memory of her late husband, philanthropist Mordecai D. Katz, z”l. Katz, who served 12 years as chairman of Bar-Ilan University’s Board of Trustees, was deeply committed to Israeli higher education and also served as a dedicated and longstanding OU board member.
